FLIR E86
High-Performance Infrared Thermal Imaging Camera for Electrical, Building Inspection, and Temperature Screening

FLIR E86:

The FLIR E86 is a high-end thermal imager in the Exx Series, delivering the powerful performance required to detect hidden hotspots and potential defects. Featuring a 464 × 348 infrared resolution and a temperature measurement range of up to 1,500°C, it is well-suited for demanding applications such as high-temperature equipment, industrial systems, and building diagnostics.

With support for AutoCal™ interchangeable lenses, the E86 adapts easily to both long-distance and close-range measurements across a variety of inspection scenarios. Combined with UltraMax® super-resolution technology and MSX® (Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging) enhancement, it delivers sharper, more detailed images—making it an essential tool for advanced inspections and diagnostics.

Key Features

🔹 Laser Distance Measurement for Focus & Area Calculation
The built-in laser distance meter enables precise focusing and automatically calculates the area within the image (m² or ft²), improving both measurement accuracy and convenience.

🔹 AutoCal™ Interchangeable Lenses for Versatile Applications
AutoCal™ lenses—from telephoto to wide-angle—feature automatic calibration, making it easy to handle large machinery inspections, roof inspections, and long-distance electrical system monitoring.

🔹 FlexView™ Dual Field-of-View Lens (Optional)
A single lens allows quick switching between 24° wide-angle and 14° telephoto views at the press of a button—adapting instantly to different inspection scenarios.

🔹 Intelligent Contrast Enhancement for Better Visibility
With One-Touch Level/Span adjustment, thermal image contrast is automatically optimized to clearly highlight abnormal hotspots and improve diagnostic efficiency.

🔹 Built-in FLIR Inspection Route & Voice Annotation
Supports structured inspection workflows, while the integrated microphone enables synchronized voice annotations—significantly simplifying reporting and documentation.

Temperature Screening Applications | Fast, Safe, Non-Contact

The FLIR E86 is also well-suited for non-contact temperature screening and monitoring, making it ideal for public venues and transportation environments requiring rapid, high-volume scanning:

✔ Quickly measure large groups from a safe distance
✔ Supports accurate temperature measurement for long-range and small targets
✔ High sensitivity with thermal resolution up to < 0.04°C (NETD, lens dependent)
✔ Built-in Screen-EST mode with real-time imaging and audible alarm alerts
✔ Supports data storage, sharing, and integration with transportation and surveillance systems
✔ Equipped with ambient temperature drift compensation to ensure stable and reliable measurements
✔ Compatible with FLIR Screen-EST desktop software for fully automated temperature screening workflows

Intelligent Inspection System Support | Enhanced Management Efficiency

The FLIR E86 features FLIR Inspection Route mode, guiding users through predefined procedures to complete multi-point inspections while efficiently managing images and measurement data for each asset.

💼 Optional FLIR Thermal Studio Pro software with the Route Creator plugin enables users to create digital inspection checklists, upload them to the thermal camera, or export them as printable inspection sheets for flexible workflow management

📦 Supported on Exx, T500, T800, and T1000 series cameras manufactured after October 8, 2020 (earlier models available via optional upgrade)
